A man died after police found him bleeding from stab wounds on Liberty Avenue early Sunday, and police are looking for the suspect in his murder.

Stephen James, 21, was found by police at 3:50 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Liberty Avenue and 123rd Street in South Richmond Hill.

Police say James approached officers and said he had been stabbed. The officers called for an ambulance and EMS responded and transported thevictim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was first listed in stable condition with a non-life-threatening injury.
