PS 207 kids take part in project that goes to disaster zones worldwide
Students at PS 207 took part in the Stars of Hope program, which allows people who have survived natural or other types of disasters to paint stars with optimistic and inspirational messages.
Students and teachers gather in PS 207’s gymnasium last Friday to paint their stars.
Hundreds of stars were painted by the students and some were taken to Newtown, Conn., the town where 26 people were shot and killed a massacre at an elementary school last month.
One of the stars featuring a hopeful message about Queens.
