Residents dove into the holiday spirit at the Ave Maria Catholic
Academy in Howard Beach last Sunday, when hundreds of people
attended the third annual “Holiday Shopping Blitz.”
Numerous vendors from throughout the area showed off their goods
during the event, during which residents were able to get caught up
on their holiday shopping. After running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at
the academy at 158-20 101 St., the event wrapped up with a
Christmas Nativity and tree lighting.
Residents said they were delighted to participate in what is
quickly becoming a favorite tradition in Howard Beach.
