Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating the suspect wanted in connection with nine burglaries and one attempted burglary in South Queens in the past two months. Most of the incidents took place in broad daylight.

The first two incidents took place on Jan. 6. In the first case, the suspect broke into a home at 105-30 80 St. in Ozone Park and removed property sometime between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. That same day, the suspect attempted to burglarize a home at 106-14 78 St. between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.

On Jan. 9, the suspect broke into a home at 78-10 Pitkin Ave. sometime between 2:45 and 5:15 p.m. The next day at around 5:30 p.m., he struck a home nearly two miles away in South Richmond Hill at 107-18 118 St., the only home to be hit outside the Ozone Park area.

On Jan. 11, between 3 and 7:40 p.m., police say he burglarized a home at 107-74 77 St. and hit another home at 106-34 76 St. on Jan. 15 at around 2:20 p.m.

The suspect struck twice on Jan. 28, first between noon and 5 p.m. at 84-39 109 Ave. and sometime between 1 and 3:20 p.m. at 106-11 78 St. The final two incidents took place on Jan. 30 at around 11:50 a.m. at 107-18 77 St. and on Feb. 10 between 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. at 105-17 77 St.

Police say the suspect, possibly working with another male, enters the locations through windows or rear doors and removes the victims’ personal property.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.
