Holiday cheer filled the streets of Woodhaven last Saturday, when hundreds of residents participated in the annual Christmas parade.

The Woodhaven Business Improvement District sponsored the annual event, which included the holiday’s tried and true — Santa, Frosty and Rudolph — as well as a newer, but beloved, character, Shrek. The parade runs along Jamaica Avenue.

The marchers included Woodhaven BID Executive Director Maria Thomson, the Franklin K. Lane High School ROTC, Assemblyman Mike Miller (D-Woodhaven) and an array of organizations from throughout the neighborhood.
