A young man from Yonkers allegedly decided to beat up a United Airlines employee at LaGuardia Airport Wednesday night rather than show a ticket in order to pick up his luggage.

Antonio Sappleton, 22, allegedly argued with the victim, who was not named and is reported to be 23, when he was asked to show his checked bag ticket at around 8 p.m. Port Authority police said Sappleton allegedly punched the airline employee repeatedly, and he when he fell to the floor, "continued the assault by kicking the victim."

The injured man was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and treated for loose teeth, a split lip and contusions on his head and face, according to Port Authority police, who said they arrested Sappleton outside of the terminal. He was charged with assault and harassment.
