The often quoted $72M restoration cost estimate for an existing structure does not seem to add up considering that an NHL size iceskate rink with an Olympic size swimming pool built on top, also with a cable supported roof, could be built from scratch in the same park for $66M.

Parks employees, park patrons, the group thats been painting the thing for five years, people who attended the fair? I have been a Queens resident for a long time and feel this is wonderful news and hope for amazing things for the pavilion and the neighboring communities. Thank you Ms. President! Lets find the funds.
