The New York City Fire Department offers free CPR instruction courses to groups of between six and 40 through the FDNY Mobile CPR Training Unit.

The program does not offer CPR certification, but a statement from the FDNY said the aim at this time is to raise awareness of the importance of immediate action in response for a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

The courses can be taught in English or Spanish.

Further information is available by calling (718) 281-3888, or going online at nyc.gov/fdny/cpr.
