The office of Congressman Joe Crowley (D-Queens, Bronx) is accepting submissions of artwork from high school students in the 14th District for consideration in the annual Congressional Art Competition.

The competition is a national contest to encourage and recognize the talents of high school-age artists. The winning entries will go on display in the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, DC for a year.

“The Congressional Art Competition is a fantastic way to share the great artistic talent we have here in the 14th District with the thousands of people who pass through the U.S. Capitol every day,” Crowley said.

Entries in the 14th Congressional District must be received by Crowley’s district office by Monday, April 22, in order to be considered for submission. The office is located at 82-11 37 Ave., suite 402, Jackson Heights, NY 11372.

Further information on the contest may be obtained at house.gov/content/educate/ art_competition/; crowley.house.gov/; or by calling Crowley’s office at (718) 779-1400.

Welcome to the discussion.
