The message that was sent sounds like the message was meant for her alive sister. When a very jealous guy may have been interested in the alive sister; but this alive sister did not pay any attention to this guy hitting on her. So, the killer sends the alive sister a message out of spite; because he sexually assaulted the the sister who went missing - he strikes a note by saying, "she is dead and was smiling." This means he had sex with her and murdered her - as to his liking - she enjoyed it; he couldn't have sex with the alive sister. The alive sister has seen or spoken with the killer. Ask the alive sister to think of everybody who sounded or appeared to be interested in her; but it never materialized - and this boy will be the killer.
Editor's note: The message was indeed chilling, and this line of thought is reasonable, but it turns out the missing woman is alive. She apparently fled to Texas, possibly to escape an arranged marriage, according to news reports.
