Founded in 1987, CWNY is a non-profit organization that works to highlight the issue of domestic violence, as well as to help women find legal assistance, jobs and assist them in other ways.

The organization is based out of Borough Hall in Kew Gardens. A landmarked building at Fort Totten in Bayside that is being renovated is set to be the group’s new headquarters when work on it finishes in 2017.
