Police are asking for the public’s assistance with identifying a man wanted for grand larceny in Flushing.

On Feb. 5, at 10 p.m., a woman locked her keys in her car in a municipal parking lot opposite 135-20 39 Ave.

While she was looking for help, a stranger broke into her car and took her pocketbook, with credit cards, money and an iPhone.

Her credit cards were used at two separate stores by an unknown man: the H-Mart at 141-40 Northern Blvd., and California Farmers Market, located at 21-61 31 St.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com, or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.

Welcome to the discussion.
