State Sen. Toby Stavisky has moved and she is now making her residence in Forest Hills.
The senator told the Chronicle on Monday that the area she previously covered was redistricted last year and her Whitestone residence is no longer in her district.
“I always represented Forest Hills,” Stavisky said. “It’s just a different configuration now.”
Stavisky represents District 16, which includes parts of Elmhurst, Woodside, Jackson Heights, Flushing, Rego Park, Forest Hills and Oakland Gardens.
“The move doesn’t affect me,” she said. “I just will no longer be a district leader when the term is up.”
Her son, Evan Stavisky, remains a district leader in Flushing. He is a partner in the Parkside Group, a political consulting firm.
The senator moved to a new apartment in September and was able to vote at her Forest Hills polling place in November.
Her district office remains in Flushing at 142-29 37 Ave. and she can be reached at (718) 445-0004.
