The New York Mets announced on Veterans Day that it would honor servicemen and women on all home Monday night games next season.

The Flushing Meadows team celebrated the announcement on Monday as Mr. and Mrs. Met marched up Fifth Avenue with veterans from the Wounded Warrior Project during the annual parade.

Starting April 21, the Mets players will wear camouflage jerseys and one of them will present a team-autographed shirt to the veteran honored at each game.

In addition, all military personnel with active or retired military identification will get free tickets to the special Monday games for themselves and up to three guests.

Mets staff, players and former players will also visit a VA hospital throughout the season and will continue the practice of honoring a veteran at all 81 home games.

The Mets also hold an annual Military Appreciation Day with reunions, free tickets, pre-game entertainment and more.

Other dates for Military Mondays are July 7 and 28 and Sept. 8 and 15.

The new camouflage jersey will go on sale at the Mets team store at Citi Field starting Nov. 22.
