Youngsters at the Whitestone Library were treated the last two months to special sessions funded by Vallo Transportation, a local charter bus company.

For the second year in a row, the company has paid for a craft activity and refreshments plus the donations of new children’s books.

Linda DeSabato, Vallo president, standing right, also read to pre-school and young school-age children during the special programs.

With her and the children are other Vallo officials and Sarah Hinkle, assistant coordinator of children’s services at Queens Library, third from left.

Welcome to the discussion.
