A Queens native has been named as the new director of emergency response of AmeriCares.
Garrett Ingoglia, a native of Fresh Meadows, will be responsible for coordinating the nonprofit global health and disaster relief organization’s worldwide response to natural disasters and other humanitarian crises.
Ingoglia has more than a decade of emergency and disaster response experience. As a planner and consultant, he worked to speed disaster assistance grants to New York City after the 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
