A man accused of spitting on and menacing a teenage girl on a bus while making anti-Muslim statements has been picked up by police.

The arrest of Perry Germano, 50, of Ozone Park, was announced by the NYPD at 11:30 p.m. April 16. Germano was charged with attempted assault, aggravated harassment and menacing.

According to police, he had accosted a 15-year-old girl on a Q88 bus at the Horace Harding Expressway and Kissena Boulevard in Flushing at about 9 a.m. April 7. He allegedly made statements attacking Islam, spat on her, raised his fist and threatened to punch her.

Police distributed surveillance photos of the man to the media on April 15 and announced the arrest 25 hours later.
