All the bigwigs came out to the ribbon cutting of Fidelis Care’s new community office in Flushing.

The space at 36-36 Main St. will offer free and low-cost health insurance, which comes just in time for open enrollment for Obamacare’s healthcare exchange, which starts on Oct. 1, and for Medicare Advantage, which starts enrollment on Oct. 15.

There to celebrate last Friday were Betty Cheng, chief operating officer at the Charles Wang Community Health Center, left; Jane Eng, chief executive officer at the center; Selina Chan, executive director at Beth Israel Medical Center; Councilman Peter Koo (D-Flushing); Father Patrick Frawley, president and chief executive officer at Fidelis Care; state Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky (D-Flushing); Yuh-Line Niou, chief of staff for Assemblyman Ron Kim; Mark Sclafani, vice president of marketing for Fidelis Care and Dave Lee, marketing director for Fidelis Care.

Welcome to the discussion.
