Police arrested Gerard Maley, 62, of Brooklyn on Saturday for allegedly holding up the Dime Bank at 176-47 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows last Thursday.

The suspect entered the bank, indicated he had a weapon and demanded money from a teller. However, he fled without taking any money.

On Friday, police released a photograph of the alleged perpetrator taken from one of the bank’s security cameras.

Maley has been charged with attempted robbery and criminal possession of a weapon.
