Community Board 11, which met Monday night at MS 158 in Bayside, welcomed four new members to its ranks.
The new volunteers include Anthony Koutsouradis, president of the Northwest Bayside Civic Association; Elizabeth Renner, a teacher, from Bayside Hills; Douglas Montgomery of Douglaston; and Jyothi Sriram, a member of the Doug Bay Manor Civic Association.
Montgomery, a realtor, is perhaps best-known for having helped organize the successful farmers market in Douglaston last year.
He is also president of the Douglaston Garden Club and active with the Douglaston Local Development Corp.
Community board members serve for two years and are nominated by the area city council member and the borough president, who has the final approval. Each board has up to 50 members.
