A Kew Gardens Hills man was killed after a car struck him around 10 p.m. Monday at Jewel Avenue and 150th Street night, according to the NYPD.

Abdul Jamil, 79, was pronounced dead at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens hospital in Flushing on Tuesday.

He had been hit by a 31-year-old man driving a 2015 Honda Accord east on Jewel and turning onto 150th Street, police said. The driver had the light.

Going against the signal for pedestrians, Jamil had been trying to cross the avenue by walking outside of the marked crosswalk at the intersection, police said.

The driver stayed at the scene after the collision. No arrests have been made in the case, cops said, and the probe is ongoing.

Jamil lived on 150th Street between 72nd Road and 72nd Avenue, according to officials.

The collision is not the first fatal one to happen in Kew Gardens Hills this year.

In January, an Astoria woman was killed in a three-car crash on Jewel Avenue by 141st Street; she had been a passenger in one of the vehicles in the collision.
