A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held recently to unveil the updated Queensboro Hill Library in Flushing.

The branch underwent a $1.965 million renovation. Upgrades include a new handicapped-accessible entry, installation of self-service checkout and interior upgrades.

At the reopening were Community Library Manager Ai-Hua Chen, left; neighborhood children; Barbara Spandorf, assistant commissioner, Design and Construction; Queens Library Exec. VP and COO Bridget Quinn-Carey; Don Capalbi, co-president Queensboro Hill Civic Association; Susan Klein, principal, The Lowell School; and Ian Chan representing NYC Council Member Peter Koo.

Welcome to the discussion.
