About 800 people came out Sunday to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association’s Queens Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Flushing Meadows Park.

More than $90,000 was collected at the event, according to Carol Lacks, one of the organizers. She noted that contributions can be made to the organization until Nov. 30. The website is located at alznyc.org.

Participants wrote messages, top, about loved ones who died from Alzheimer’s.

Both individuals and groups, such as the Joseph P. Addabbo Family Health Center, above, marched for the cause.

Since 1989, Walk to End Alzheimer’s has raised more than $300 million.

Welcome to the discussion.
