Three people were shot outside Wendy’s on 139th Street and 89th Avenue, at around 3 p.m. last Thursday, in what is believed to be a gang-related dispute.

The three victims —one, 17, shot in the buttocks, another, 20, struck in the right leg, and the third, 20, shot in the right arm — were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where they were listed in stable condition three days later, police said.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office said the gun play occurred when members of the Latin Kings gang targeted members of the MS-13 gang.

One man, Damian Rampersad, 21, of 149th Street in Jamaica was later arrested and charged with second-degree attempted murder, assault and criminal possession of a weapon.

At around noon the next day, it was business as usual at the restaurant where none of the patrons seemed to know about the violence that had taken place there the previous afternoon.

“Wonderful,” one man said with sarcasm when he heard the news. He was from Long Island and visiting the area with his wife. “Well, this is Jamaica,” he added.

A. Ahmed, who has been the general manager at the Wendy’s for the last 14 years, said he didn’t see the shooting, but heard a commotion and was later informed by police of what had happened.

Asked if the shooting had made him fearful of working at the restaurant, Ahmed replied, “Not at all. This is New York City. Everything happens here. What do you expect?”

Fatal car crash

A car crash early Sunday morning has left one man dead and three others injured, the NYPD said. The accident occurred on Rockaway Boulevard between Brookville and Guy R. Brewer boulevards at around 4 a.m.

A white Nissan Maxima was traveling southbound on Rockaway Boulevard in the middle lane when it rear-ended a white Mitsubishi box truck.EMS responded and pronounced the driver of the Maxima, Joseph Brown, 29, of Almeda Avenue in Far Rockaway, dead at the scene, police said.

Three female passengers who were in the car with Brown — ages 21, 22 and 29 — were taken to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition. The driver of the truck, a 39-year-old man, was taken to the same hospital. No criminality is suspected, according to the NYPD.
