Denies then confirms toxin on campus
After the Queens Chronicle reported last week that low levels of a toxic chemical had been found at York College, the administration claimed it wasn’t true, in posts on its website and Facebook page. Now the school admits it was wrong, and at least one state official is calling for the substance, perchloroethylene, to be cleaned up ASAP.
