Three members of York College’s men’s volleyball team have garnered postseason honors from the City University of New York Athletic Conference.
Leszek Stankiewicz, left, a native of Poland, was named a first-team all-star in his first year back in collegiate volleyball following a six-year hiatus.
Junior Terrence Sutton of Brooklyn, center, has been named CUNYAC’s Men’s Volleyball Libero of the Year. A libero is a defensive specialist. He ranks 13th nationally in the NCAA’s Division III with 2.7 digs per set.
Sophomore Edner Geffrard, right, missed the beginning of the season with shoulder surgery but ended it by being named a CUNYAC second-team all-star.
The native of Haiti also made the CUNYAC All-Tournament team this year.
He was the conference’s 2012 Rookie of the Year.
