The NYPD is asking the public’s help in identifying two men wanted for armed robberies at two commercial establishments in Jamaica.
In the first incident the assailants robbed a barber shop at 134-18 Guy R. Brewer Blvd., where they displayed a weapon and took money from the store and five of its customers, according to the NYPD. The crime occurred on April 21 at around 5:10 p.m.
A half hour later the duo struck again, this time targeting a check-cashing business at 114-08 Merrick Blvd. One of the men displayed a firearm and then both approached a customer and emptied his pockets of cash, before fleeing north on Linden Boulevard, police said.
The robbers are described as black men between the ages of 20 and 25 with a dark complexion. One is estimated to be about 5 feet 10 inches tall and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, light pants and black and white sneakers.
The second man is described as being between 5 feet 5 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and wearing a black zippered sweatshirt, dark pants, a dark baseball hat with a green visor and black sneakers.
