NYPD seeks alleged serial robber

The police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Darren Hicks, 28, a robbery suspect who allegedly struck nearly a dozen times in one month.

In each case he is accused of brandishing a black semiautomatic handgun before demanding cash and property from his victims. Hicks is described as being 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighing between 150 and 180 pounds.

The first time Hicks struck, he allegedly robbed a man, 27, sitting inside a Pepsi delivery truck in front of the J&C Grocery store at 110-02 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Jamaica on July 3 at 2:50 p.m. He then fled in a two-door Honda Accord.

The next victim, a 26-year-old woman, was working inside the Howard Johnson Inn at 153-95 Rockaway Blvd., in Rochdale Village on July 9 when the suspect allegedly approached the counter, at around 10:15 p.m. demanded money and fled on foot.

The next day Hicks allegedly struck again. This time the victim was a man, 48, working inside the Subway restaurant at 252-18 Rockaway Blvd. in Rosedale. At around 11:45 p.m. Hicks allegedly took the victim’s wallet and cash from the register, before fleeing on foot.

On July 15, at around 6:10 p.m. Hicks allegedly went inside the Cambria Car Wash and Detailing Center at 208-15 Linden Blvd. in Jamaica, approached the victim, a 38-year-old woman, took cash from the register and fled on foot.

Two days later, an unsuspecting delivery truck driver, 34, was unloading items in front of the C-Town Supermarket at 195-09 Jamaica Ave. in Hollis, when the suspect allegedly approached, at around 1:30 p.m., demanded the man’s wallet and fled on foot.

On July 18 at 11:25 a.m. two men, ages 43 and 51, were returning to their delivery trucks at the intersection of 114th Drive and Farmers Boulevard in St. Albans, when Hicks allegedly demanded their cell phones and cash, before fleeing in a white Ford Focus.

On July 21 at 11:54 p.m., another victim, 38,  was making a delivery to the Farmbria Food Center at the intersection of Linden Boulevard and 219th Street in Cambria Heights, when Hicks allegedly demanded money, before fleeing on foot.

On July 21 at 3:50 p.m., the victim, a 50-year-old man, was working inside the Fine Fare Supermarket at 199-11 Hollis Ave. in Jamaica, when the suspect entered the store and allegedly took money from three registers, before fleeing in a white four-door sedan.

On July 24 at 2:25 p.m., a man, 20, was outside his Red Bull delivery truck at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and 179th Street in Jamaica, when Hicks allegedly demanded money, before fleeing on foot.

On Aug. 2 at 11:30 a.m. a man, 37, was unloading his 7UP delivery truck outside the Key Food supermarket at 213-22 Jamaica Ave. in Queens Village, when Hicks allegedly demanded money, before fleeing on foot.

Later that day, at around noon, Hicks allegedly struck again. This time the victim, a 47-year-old man, was inside his Boar's Head delivery truck in front of the Rite Aid drugstore at 222-14 Linden Blvd. in Jamaica, when Hicks allegedly knocked on the window and demanded money, before fleeing in a white sedan.
