Laurelton and the Rosedale Civic Association will host their annual Memorial Day parades on Monday, May 26.
The 25th Annual Laurelton parade will begin at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Francis Lewis and Merrick boulevards.
It will end at the Laurelton Veterans Memorial Triangle at 225th Street and North Conduit Avenue.
The Rosedale Civic event will be assembled at 10:45 a.m. at the intersection of 243rd Street and Mayda Road. It will end at Veteran’s Square on the Sunrise Highway.
This year’s grand marshal in Rosedale will be Jacques Leandre, president of the Rosedale Jets Football Association
Veterans and veterans’ organizations, marching bands, Scout troops, youth groups, civic and elected officials are expected to attend both events.
The Laurelton parade, founded by the Laurelton Lions Club, also is sponsored by the Garden Club of Laurelton, American Legion Post 1946, The Concerned Citizens of Laurelton and the Federated Blocks of Laurelton in conjunction with the Col. Edward O. Gourdin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5298.
