Man wanted in two armed robberies

Stole cash from hotel, restaurant

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a man wanted in connection with the robbery of an area hotel and restaurant last week. There were no injuries as a result of the incidents.

The suspect is described as a man between 27 and 30 years old, standing between 5 feet 7 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds.

The assailant walked into the establishments brandishing a firearm and demanded money, according to the NYPD. Then he went behind the front counters and removed cash before fleeing.

The first incident took place on July 9 at around 10:15 p.m. inside the Howard Johnson Hotel at 153-95 Rockaway Blvd. in Jamaica. The second robbery occurred the next day at 11:45 p.m. inside a Subway Restaurant at 252-18 Rockaway Blvd. in Rosedale, police said.
