An elderly man was struck by a car and killed in a hit-and-run in Jamaica on Feb. 15 at around 12:30 a.m., according to the NYPD.
The victim, Carlo Carlos, 65, of Jamaica, was struck by a dark-colored sedan traveling northbound on Rockaway Boulevard, as he was crossing the street from west to east near 137th Avenue, police said.
When officers from the 113th Precinct arrived at the accident location, they found Carlos with trauma about the body. EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead on arrival, according to the NYPD.
The driver fled the location and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
