A Jamaica man was arrested on kidnapping and other charges on Jan. 23 after he allegedly tried to sexually assault a teenage girl in the back of an SUV that was reported stolen.
Police at the 113th Precinct said Kapri Dickson, 23, of 130th Avenue also was charged with second-degree assault, sexual abuse, grand larceny auto, criminal possession of stolen property, acting in a manner injurious to a child and sexual contact with an individual less than 14 years old.
According to the NYPD, the owner of a 2002 Ford Explorer reported it stolen from the area of Sutphin Boulevard and 109th Avenue just before 6 p.m., and said his niece was asleep in the back seat.
Dickson allegedly was inside the vehicle when officers from the Queens Gang Squad located it near the intersection of Rockaway Boulevard and 147th Street.
Police said their investigation allegedly determined that Dickson attempted to assault the girl in the vehicle before hitting her and throwing her out.
