Discarded yellow emergency tape sits near the fence at the northern end of Rufus King Park at 89th Avenue in Jamaica on Tuesday.

The tape had been in place for about two weeks around the fence and everything else made of metal at the park’s north end after Con Edison crews detected an electrical leak on July 15.

A Con Edison spokesman said last week that the leak had been traced to a city-owned light within the park.

A spokesman for the city’s Department of Parks and Recreation did not respond to an email requesting information on the matter.
