Burgers, hot dogs and all the trimmings were the order of the day at Rufus King Park in Jamaica on Tuesday as the NYPD’s 103rd Precinct and its Community Council celebrated the 30th annual National Night Out Against Crime.

The family-friendly event brings residents and their police officers together in a block-party-type atmosphere as a means of celebrating the community and also improving the precinct’s community relations.

The evening featured food, entertainment and activities for the children including rides and games.

For adults there also were tips on safety and crime prevention.

Welcome to the discussion.
