Eagle Scout candidate Gregory Goodman, center, 16, of Queens Village, here poses on Sept. 25 with baby items collected by the staff of Borough President Helen Marshall at Borough Hall.

Gregory is collecting baby items and supplies for military veterans who are expectant mothers as his Eagle Scout community service project. He is a member of Troop 23 in Queens Village, and also does volunteer work at the Veterans Affairs home in St. Albans.

Deputy Borough President Barry Grodenchik, center right, hosted the event, which also was attended by 13-year-old Boy Scout Garrett Hicks, center left, and Gregory’s mother, Ludney Jean Philippe, next to Garrett.

Gregory still is seeking donations of items such as diapers, blankets, rattles, bottles, towels and other linens, cotton swabs, booties, sleepers and baby wipes.

He can be contacted online at gmg723@gmail.com.
