Only in Jamaica, would Councilman Ruben Wills and others want to rename a dirty and disgusting street littered with garbage, abandon homes, abandon cars, mattresses and other shit after the Tuskegee Airmen. Yes, South Road, a notorious stretch of road known for vacant homes, illegal dumping and shootings might just be named after the heroic World War II vets, certainly not a great tribute to some great men. You call that “in honor of”?

Either clean up that horrible street or choose a more appropriate street to rename after these heroes.

Sometimes I am just completely dumfounded by what our local leaders do or do not do. Wills, how about cleaning up the area first before re-naming a street.
