99-cent store robber wanted

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect wanted in connection to a burglary at 229-12 Merrick Blvd. in Laurelton.

On May 10, at approximately 4:45 a.m., the suspect entered a 99 Cent Dream Store by cutting a hole in the roof.

The suspect removed approximately $2,600 from the store before fleeing the scene. The establishment was closed at the time of the incident and there were no injuries reported as a result.

The suspect was caught on video surveillance and is described as a black male with a light complexion who is 25 to 30 years old.

He was last seen wearing a light-colored sweatshirt, light-colored camouflage pants and light sneakers and was seen carrying a backpack.
