The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for an attempted robbery in Jamaica on July 14.

Police said the man entered the Sunshine Grocery at 87-60 Parsons Blvd. about 8 p.m., then brandished a black firearm and demanded money from a worker. He fled on foot without receiving any money.

He is described as a black male, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket.

Anyone with information on his identity or whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 577-TIPS (8477). The public also can submit tips by logging onto nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting 274637 (CRIMES), then entering TIP577. All tips are strictly confidential.
