Elinor Tatum, publisher and editor-in-chief of the Harlem-based New York Amsterdam News, the city’s largest ethnic newspaper, will speak at York College March 25. The address is part of college President Marcia Keizs’ Executive Leadership Breakfast series.

Tatum took over the Amsterdam News in 1997 when she was just 26. Active in many arenas, she also produces and co-hosts a segment on the Rev. Al Sharpton’s “Keepin’ It Real” radio show, on which she discusses issues facing the black community with members of the minority press, and has appeared on television many times, on shows including “NBC Nightly News,” “20/20,” “The Today Show” and “The O’Reilly Factor.”

The breakfast will be held from 8 to 9:30 a.m. in the faculty dining room at York, located at 94-20 Guy R. Brewer Blvd. in Jamaica. For further details or to RSVP, call (718) 262-3866 or go online to york.cuny.edu/breakfast.

Welcome to the discussion.
