Glendale celebrated the grand openings of two new eateries last Saturday: Room 55 and Yogurt and Company.

Located at 75-01 88 St., Room 55 serves modern American cuisine and unique refreshing beverages. Grand opening guests were treated to tastings of both.

At the top, chef Vinny Accardi, center, with hat, celebrates with his family, friends, staff and guests. The restaurant is open for dinner every day except Tuesdays and is available for private party bookings. It can be reached at (718) 897-0055.

Glendale was also treated to festive disco music and free frozen yogurt with all the toppings at the opening of Yogurt and Company at 70-03 Myrtle Ave. The self-serve yogurt shop also sells candy and other treats and features a private party room, too.

Among those joining in the celebration, above, were Assemblyman Mike Miller, in blazer, Billy Berge, eighth from left, owners Lisa and Daniella Berge, ninth and 10th from left, and Lisa’s parents, Joanie and Ernie Monteleone, right. Billy and Lisa Berge are the former owners of the East Meets West Restaurant on Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park.

Welcome to the discussion.
