Congressman Bob Turner (R-Queens and Brooklyn) is encouraging all veterans in the 9th District seeking new or different employment to take advantage of a pair of job fairs specifically geared toward them.

The first is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 19 at the Mayor’s Office of Veterans Affairs at 346 Broadway, 8th Floor, in Manhattan.
All are requested to RSVP by Jan. 13 by calling Carlyle Outten at (212) 599-5627.

The second job fair, sponsored by the regional office of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Feb. 1 at 245 W. Houston St., room 331, in Manhattan.

Openings include food service, driving, warehouse, security, banking, machine repair and maintenance.

Welcome to the discussion.
