Retro Fitness at 65-45 Otto Road in Glendale is hosting an open house on Saturday, Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to celebrate the center’s expansion.

The festivities will feature membership deals, a free barbecue and children’s activities such as free pony rides. There will also be a special appearance by reality television personality Big Ang of the show “Mob Wives.”

In addition, Ultimate Fighting Championship fighter Akira Corassani will also appear. He will provide a mixed martial arts class for those interested.

“It’s more of a celebration,” Retro Fitness Glendale owner Warren De Stefano said. “We want to show off the final product.”

The party will showcase the building’s expansion from 17,000 square feet to 23,000 square feet, making it one of the largest gyms in Queens.

“It’s only $19.99 to join Retro Fitness; you can’t beat that,” De Stefano said. “And if you join on Saturday, you get a free month.”
