WHAT I DON'T UNDERSTAND IS IF AN INVESTIGATION IS GOING ON WHY ARE LIBRARIES GOING TO HOUSE THE UPK PROGRAM. .WOODHAVEN LIBRARY HAS ALREADY GIVEN OUT APPLICATIONS AND RENOVATIONS START JULY 11. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE DO YOU ASK? WELL THIS MEANS LIBRARIES LOSE THE SPACE WHERE UPK IS GOING TO BE .AND NOT ONLY DURING THE SCHOOL HOURS. THOSE ROOMS WILL BE EXCLUSIVELY FOR UPK ONLY AND UNUSED AT ALL OTHER TIMES. SO NO MORE PORGRAMS FOR THE COMMUNITY TO ENJOY. OUR CHILDREN WILL HAVE NO ENRICHING LIBRARY PROGRAMS GAME DAYS, MOVIE MAKING, ARTS & CRAFTS AND ALL THE OTHER WONDERFUL PROGRAMS RUN BY THE CHILDRENS' LIBRARIAN. ADULTS WILL HAVE NO MORE ESL CLASSES, FITNESS PROGRAMS, BOOK DISCUSSIONS AND MANY OTHER COMMUNITY PROGRAMS. I UNDERSTAND THE NEED FOR UPK FOR CHILDREN. HOWEVER TO HAVE 18 CHILDREN BE ABLE TO ATTEND UPK SHOULD NOT BE IN LIBRARY SPACE. THIS IS A OUTRAGEOUS SACRIFICE FOR THE CHILDREN AND THE WHOLE COMMUNITY OF WOODHAVEN. AND IF THERE IS AUDITS NOW WAIT FOR THAT UPK MONEY TO ROLL IN. WILL THIS BE TOM GALANTE NEW POSITION?! MONITORING THE UPK BUDGET?! WE MUST STOP THIS POOR CHOICE FORUPK SPACE O OUR COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE CAN ENOY THE LIBRARY. JUST LAST MAY WOODHAVEN LIBRARY HAD A RENOVATION AND TOM GALANTE ASSURED US THAT THIS IS ONLY PHASE ONE AND PHASE TO WILL BE RENOVATING DOWNSTAIRS TO FOR THE CHILDREN. WELL I GUESS HE MEANT ONLY 18 CHILDREN. PLEASE WOODHAVEN RESIDENTS DON'T JUST GET MAD ABOUT THIS TAKE SME ACTION. AND OTHER NEIGHBORHOODS WATCH OUT BECAUSE UPK MAY BE COMING TO UOUR LIBRARY REAL SOON!! LPONCE

Outrageous! As I have said before, Mr. Galante should be removed right now.

This man and the Library board have turned this situation into something shameful.

The sooner he is removed, the better, and this also goes for the Library board
    members as well.

Throw them all out, and start over.

The citizens of Queens deserve no less.
