St. Nick makes an appearance as the students put on a holiday concert
Santa Claus reminds the children of PS 153 of the importance of being on the nice list before leading them in a version of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.”
A member of the PS 153 chorus, in a skit where they portray Santa’s elves who face a possible cancellation of Christmas, reminds the students that the toy makers aren’t going to take it.
The fourth-grade band opens the concert by playing a festive version of “Jingle Bells” for the crowd of a few hundred students and teachers.
The surprised students all cheered Santa’s special guest appearance at the holiday concert.
The sixth-grade chamber winds band plays “Auld Land Syne.”
The chorus sings a rocking holiday rendition of “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi called “Santa’s Almost Here.” Santa himself made an appearance towards the end of the song.
