PD: Man seen running from area of shooting

Cops seek public’s help in deli killing

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man in the photograph at the left in connection with the fatal shooting of a storekeeper in Ridgewood on Dec. 20.

Police said the man is wanted for questioning. He was seen running from the area of 674 Onderdonk Ave. where Ishak Ghali, far right, was shot and killed in the deli and market.

Ghali, a 26-year-old Egyptian immigrant, lived above the deli on the corner of Onderdonk and Gates avenues. He was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS personnel.

The man spotted running from the area on a surveillance camera is described by police as a light-skinned man. He was wearing a dark knit hat, blue jeans and white sneakers.

The NYPD and its Crime Stoppers Bureau are offering a combined reward of $12,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Ghali’s killer.
