The NYPD has identified a Ridgewood man as the alleged triggerman in a triple-homicide-suicide that took place in Brooklyn just after midnight on Monday morning.
Police said Ali Akbar Mohammadi Rafie, 29, of Metropolitan Avenue, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head on the roof of a building at 318 Maujer St. with a rifle next to his body.
Published reports have said the gunman and two of the three men he allegedly shot and killed were members of an Iranian rock band who may have been in a dispute over money.
A third man who was shot and killed was not believed to be a member of the band, while a fourth shooting victim, a 22-year-old man whose identity was not being released by the NYPD, was wounded in his arm.
Police have identified the three dead musicians as Soroush Farazmand, 27, his brother Arash Farazmand, 28, and Lai Eskandarian, 35, all of whom lived at the Maujer Street address.
