Man shot on Halloween

Police are searching for a gunman who opened fire on a 21-year-old Hispanic male in Briarwood on Oct. 31.

The incident occurred around 7 p.m. outside of 88-09 148 Street. The victim was shot three times in the torso, police said. The man, an alleged Latin Kings gang member as reported by the Daily News, was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center with nonlife threatening injuries, according to news reports.

The shooting was caught on video, and the suspect can be seen fleeing after chasing the victim and shooting at him.

The suspect was seen in the video wearing a black baseball hat, a black jacket and a red scarf, police said.

The Daily News also reported that the victim has a lengthy rap sheet with 15 arrests.
