State Sen. Joe Addabbo Jr. joined with Assemblyman Mike Miller and members of the Glendale community on April 11 to welcome in the new L&A Gourmet Deli, located at 79-51 Myrtle Ave. The deli is owned by longtime resident Lou Lambros, second from left, and his family.
“The Lambros family is an example of what makes this community great. Family businesses have kept Glendale and many Queens communities alive for years, and it’s their commitment that makes this area such a vibrant, unique place to live,” said Addabbo, third from left.
“We need to continue to fight for local stores such as this one, so our neighbors can maintain the quality of life they deserve. I look forward to many more sandwiches fom L&A Gourmet Deli and thank you to the Lambros family for making it possible.”
Celebrating with Lambros, Addabbo and Miller, third from right, were Ana Mendez, next to Addabbo, Arturo Vargos, second from right, and staffers at the deli.
