Dry Harbor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Middle Village held a health fair on Oct. 6 that featured a wide variety of activities and entertainment.
The center reported that the event was a tremendous success, with more than 400 participants enjoying an afternoon of socializing, listening to guest speakers, eating and drinking various foods and shakes, and winning raffle baskets.
Though entertaining, the fair focused on protecting the health of the adults who participated. They had blood pressure testings, blood sugar screenings and chair massages, and interacted with more than 20 vendors. The children enjoyed face painting, balloon twisting, stringing their own treats and watching dancers from Studio E perform. And everybody exited with goody bags and thoughts of the center’s next fair.
