The Department of Buildings has confirmed that the inactive construction site at 84-03 Lander St. in Briarwood has had its property barrier replaced after the owner was issued a number of violations.

According to the DOB, the matter was resolved when a prospective buyer got in contact with the current owner.

“DOB has been calling the owner but never connected with him” a department spokeswoman said in an email. “So DOB called the applicant, who said he would contact the owner to have the fence repaired.”

The would-be apartment building has remained an inactive site for years but with a possible new owner, the project may get off the ground soon.
